Current Activities

1 The Skye & Lochalsh footpath initiative has been successful in securing match funding through the European Agriculture Guidance and Guarantee fund (EAGGF).

This has enabled the SLFI to complete a third phase of work totalling 8.6km of footpath construction and led to the completion of all the ‘high priority’ repair work identified in the initial condition survey of the upland footpaths in Skye and Lochalsh.

This third phase along with previous work supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund brings the overall total of footpaths repaired to 42km.
