1. Gars Bheinn
This route of 10km, forks off from the Coire Lagan path, across the moorlands below Sron na Ciche and Sgurr nan Eag before rising up the shoulder of Gars Bheinn and then round to Loch Coruisk. It affords spectacular sea views with the small isles of Canna, Rhum and Eigg on the horizon.
The worst damage to this route was over the first 3.5km up to the Coir' a' Ghrunnda burn, with multiple braiding to the main line and 2 - 3 other lines developing. With the first kilometre up to the Coire Lagan burn repaired in 1997, Heritage Lottery Funding enabled the Initiative to repair the remaining 2.5 km, completing the work in 2002.
