Getting out of a Rut

The existing character of this section of path is narrow and closed in. In addition fines have been washed out of the path leaving an undesirable surface of loose cobble.

Anchor bars and backfill raise the height of the path. The banks on either side are cut back at as shallow an angle as surrounding terrain will allow. The turfs produced from this operation are then reshaped and along with extra turfs of a similar character are used to landscape the newly shaped banks.
